Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise is such an unexpected fun-filled adventure film, filled with some of the best acting I’ve seen from Dwayne Johnson ever and I can admit to loving the person a little more from his spectacular adaptation of Captain Frank Wolff.
I had never heard of Jungle Cruise before this movie but what’s certain is that within the first ten minutes of the film I already knew Captain Frank Wolff was a con artist when it comes to making money yet, he put a lot of work into making his boat the number choice for tourist, I mean the lengths this man has gone is close to insane. He built a waterfall for Christ’s sake lol…
Dr. Lily Houghton and her brother McGregor are two completely different people. McGregor is the more laid back, no need to run if we’ll get there regardless of the situation whilst Dr. Lily is always up on her feet, going at max speed like fireworks, their dynamic chemistry is beautiful to watch as a sibling myself.
The elements that make this movie so much fun to watch would be its easy yet funny script and story. There are no complicated elements to this movie, just listen and you’ll find something to laugh about almost every minute. The Story is also heartwarming to know that the beginning and the end are in a way connected.
Let’s not forget the villain of this funny film, Prince Joachim (Jesse Plemons) who’s a German gentleman with psychopathic tendencies that he hides quite well under those suits and advanced warships like a submarine, okay I’ll admit the man has taste even with his cruel and cunning ways to get whatever he wants.
The saddest thing about this movie is the curse of the forest that had befallen Aguirre and some of his men, though one of the men seemed to enjoy the fact that he was a walking honeycomb living with bees however Aguirre got the short end of the stick hey, aside from being turned into a monster-infested with snakes but to never be able to return home as well.
