Sing 2

Buster Moon and his all-star cast of animal performers prepare to launch a dazzling stage extravaganza in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one hitch – he has to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star Clay Calloway to join them.

However, before his journey can fully begin Buster Moon is filled with doubt on whether he can deliver this masterpiece on the biggest stage in the Entertainment Capital of the world.

But what Buster Moon seems to be forgetting is that it’s not about whether the world or society need to make you feel worth it, it’s about whether or not you believe that you are worth it and sometimes all we need is that one friend who believes in us to remind us of that.

After seeing the first film I instantly fell in love with Sing so imagine my surprise when I heard that Sing 2 was released. I went straight into the film without watching the trailer, I did not research the cast or director, I just had faith after watching the first that the second would be great and ladies and gentlemen, What a phenomenal movie this was.

This time the focus of the movie is on Buster Moon, Johnny, Rosita, Ash, Meena, and Clay Calloway. Buster Moon is a dreamer that wants to be recognized by the world for his brilliant shows, Johnny has a hard time with his choreographer who seems to try to break him down at every turn.

Rosita has always wanted to perform at the Entertainment Capital but is hindered by a stunt that requires her to take a leap of faith however she has a fear of heights and Clay Calloway, a rock star that disappeared from the face of the earth after the passing of his wife, due to that lost his voice and reason to sing again.

Sing 2 is an amazing sequel to the first in every aspect. The film’s spectacular union of storytelling, character development, and drama is wondrous let alone the animation quality. The moments when the focus is backstage with the production staff, equipment, and crew still overcome me to this moment.

The attention to detail of this film reminds me of Disney’s Encanto and the final moments on stage with Porsha’s act are breathtaking. The moment I found profound is when I realized that there are moments when we are saved by someone, either by their words, or song however what happens to those people that saved us when they’ve lost all hope? Who saves them?

Johnny was able to gain his choreographer’s approval with the help of Nooshy. Clay Calloway was able to sing again with the help of Ash, and Rosita conquered her fear of heights when she needs to save Buster Moon from falling to the ground.

As I was finally able to start my review blog because of a friend that believed in me when I was full of doubt on whether anyone would even read my reviews, but she believed in me and that saved me from living a life full of regrets.

Go out and see this film, it’s worth watching and who knows what you might learn from it.

Thanks for reading… Share with your friends and family.
