Ladies and gentlemen, today I want to talk you about a series from Netflix, that has gone under the radar for whatever reason and I think this series should be talked about a lot more. That series is called “Dark”. The series was released on the 1st of December 2017 by program writers Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese and writers Ronny Schalk, Marc O. Seng, and Martin Behnke. Death On The Nile
From the very beginning of “Death On The Nile“, it is established that the keyword for this film is “love” and love is what I found when seeing some of the best visuals I had ever seen. Director “Kenneth Branagh” who also plays the lead role of Detective “Hercule Poirot” struggles to find love again after the loss of his wife during the war in 1914. Poirot submerges himself into his work with great dedication, one would say that is his way of escaping and avoiding the arrows of cupid. The Batman
If there is any credit you can give to “DC Comics” on its films, that will be when “The Batman” gets to have all the screen time to himself with no other hero to outshine the “Dark Knight”, especially the man with an “S” symbol on his chest. As a DC Comics fan myself I just wish that all other DC Comics heroes had been given the same amount of time and focus in their movies, because if we’re being honest with ourselves, Batman and “Superman” are the only heroes that get such deep in-depth detail about their origins and progress in films. Deep Water
At the beginning of the film I thought Melinda and Vic were at a swingers party full of mature people and to make it even worse, Melinda was so happy when her young lover Joel Nash played by (Brendan Miller) showed up, I was convinced that this was a swingers get-together. Though I couldn’t help but question why Vic seemed to not be participating with anyone else but instead walked around the house looking for his wife. No Exit is a novel written by “Taylor Adams” and adapted into a movie in 2022 by “20th Century Studios” and “Flitcraft”. The movie is directed by Damien Power best known for his film “Killing Ground” released in 2017. The main focus of the movie is Darby Thorne, a drug addict currently admitted to a rehab facility in hopes that she can recover and get her life back in order when during one of her meetings she receives an urgent call regarding her mother. Lately, I’ve heard a lot about the world or for a better word “life” being a simulation and this film addresses another aspect of that in a way. The title of the film says it all, if you haven’t seen it yet then I recommend taking the title to heart, I found myself questioning my humanity throughout this film.
