Ladies and Gentlemen, I hate saying negative things about someone else’s work, especially since I was not there and I don’t know the amount of work that was put into the work however this is the first film of the year which I will with a heavy heart criticize to the latter. Simply put, I want my time back. I don’t believe Director Edward Drake put enough effort into this film as it was horrendously crafted, the cast seems alright, with veterans such as Neal McDonough and Bruce Willis, let this not fool, I felt as if I were at a psychiatrist with no one out, I couldn’t wait…

Squid Game Episode 2 – Hell
With the surviving players realizing what it means to be a part of these games, most are left shocked and perplexed at what they have just experienced. Gi-Hun thanks his long-time friend Sang-Woo for his advice and thanks to Ali for saving him last minute as he was about to fall. Gi-Hun also admires player number one for his bravery, as if it weren’t for him, none of the players would have grown the courage to play the game in the first place. The four quickly form a bond after what they just witnessed as the doors open and the administrators return to show their appreciation to the players that…

One Piece Episode 998 – Zeus Treason, The Cornered Nami.
Ladies and Gentlemen, back like we never left, back with another hot episode of One Piece, let us get right into it, shall we. With all the chaos going on Momonosuke is still on the executions logs waiting for someone to get him down but two of Kaido’s top executives are keeping watch of him, King and Queen, and whilst Queen is in charge of security, answering all the Den Den Mushi snails, King seems to be assessing the situation on the lower floors just to make sure nothing unexpected happens. And so with Queen constantly getting these ridiculous calls of more samurai entering the castle, Queen can’t…

SnakeHead
Sister Tse (Shuya Chang) is a mother filled with regret with her earlier years of abandoning her daughter (Jai) who is later aborted by a family in New York City as she is arrested and sent to prison for 8 years, as soon as she is released, her first and only thought is to find her daughter, she is assisted by one of New York City’s Chinatown’s underground crime family lead by Dai Mah played by (Jade Wu). If there’s anything I’ve learned from this emotional rollercoaster of a film is that Asians are built resilient and go through much more than I’ve ever imagined, I mean leaving your place…

Army of Thieves
Matthias Schweighofer has done an amazing job with this prequel, I found myself wanting to see more with each safe. The story of Hans Wagner after losing his family putting all his attention and soul into the makings of the four safes was beautifully illustrated and directed. Ludwig Dieter was such an isolated person and you could strangely always see that even from the first film, Army of The Dead, but to think he just wanted someone to recognize his skills, and he sure made the impression at the safe’s competition. Whilst the former champion is anxious and using every technique in the book on unlocking a safe, Dieter on the…

Old Henry
Straight out the bat, you know know what you are about to get yourself into with Old Henry, a western film building its anticipation with a man running in the woods from a couple of men on horses, only to later realize he is running away from the Marshal played by Stephen Dorff and two his deputies. And there’s one thing that’s plain to see, it’s that this Marshal is either corrupted or pretending to that for reasons we still don’t know yet. From the moment Stephen Dorff appears on-screen anyone with a brain can tell that this man is bad news all around, there’s no respectful charisma you’d get…

One Piece Episode 997 – Battle Under The Moon – The Berserker, Sulong.
One Piece Episode 997 continues where we last ended with Luffy declaring war on all of Kaido, Big Mom, and Orochi’s men. Yamato besides him smiles at Luffy, admiring him even more as he reminds her of Ace whom she has met but we aren’t aware of this at all, hopefully, Oda explains more about this. With Ace having passed away 2 years ago, makes you wonder where and when did she ever meet Ace, and if Ace was here, did he fight Kaido? With all the chaos going on in the castle, Queen can not comprehend where and how they went wrong as he keeps getting calls about samurai…

Warning
Lately, I’ve heard a lot about the world or for a better word “life” being a simulation and this film addresses another aspect of that in a way. The title of the film says it all, if you haven’t seen it yet then I recommend taking the title to heart, I found myself questioning my humanity throughout this film. What makes us human, it’s funny how all the things we create are programmed to be respectful and kind yet that element in humans is blurred. Claire (Alice Eve) uses a look-alike version of Amazon’s products Alexa as her spiritual coach, without it Claire felt uneasy and restless as “God” is…

Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise is such an unexpected fun-filled adventure film, filled with some of the best acting I’ve seen from Dwayne Johnson ever and I can admit to loving the person a little more from his spectacular adaptation of Captain Frank Wolff. I had never heard of Jungle Cruise before this movie but what’s certain is that within the first ten minutes of the film I already knew Captain Frank Wolff was a con artist when it comes to making money yet, he put a lot of work into making his boat the number choice for tourist, I mean the lengths this man has gone is close to insane. He built…

Squid Game -Episode 1 | Right Light, Green Light
Ladies and Gentle, it’s about time I made this review for a series that has taken the whole world by storm. Netflix’s Korean series, Squid Game. Right off the bat, we are shown how children play the game itself called Squid Game, the rules, and the skills it takes to win. We then meet the protagonist of the story, Seong Gi-Hun who is a man in his early forties living with his elderly mother who is the breadwinner in the family. While Gi-Hun is eating his breakfast, his mother gives him twenty thousand won, equivalent to more or less two hundred and fifty-three rands in South Africa and he randomly…
