Stranger Things: Season 4 Vol.2

We are back again with the vol.2 of Stranger Things Season 4 by the Duffer Brothers.

Vol.2 includes only two episodes that are referred to as “Papa” and “The Piggyback” which pick up right where we left off with Vecna and Nancy.

The second vol.2 was released on the 1st of July on Netflix and was highly anticipated by fans all around the world as within just a few minutes of release, Netflix servers crashed due to the heavy demand of subscribers waiting to be the first to feast their eyes on how the season ends.

And my word, this was worth the wait without a doubt.

There are even more twists and complications awaiting viewers as what we thought we knew about Part One is turned completely on its head with the season finale.

Before I continue, I would like to give a word of warning as this review does contain spoilers for both episodes released on vol.2, so be warned.

Season four has proved to be quite the challenge and I’m honestly tired of losing such wonderful, lovable characters in such a short space of time.

First, it was Chrissy, then Eddie Munson and not to mention we almost lost Max Mayfield as well if not for the help of Eleven and Lucas Sinclair.

Then, let’s not forget the twist that rocked the whole season on its head.

Dustin thought that the Mind Flayer was the final antagonist to the series with Vecna simply being its so-called “Five Star General” when in fact the one that was in charge of everything from the very beginning is Vecna.

Vecna played by Jamie Campbell Bower is the one that’s responsible for creating the mind flayer by using his powers in the upside-down dimension to shape and mold the dark clouds into the form of a spider.

Still, the Mind Flayer taking Eleven’s powers was all a stepping stone for Vecna to initiate his plan for this season to commit four murders to create gates that would eventually allow for the upside-down to be bought into Hawkins.

This is incredible because we as the audience can finally understand a fraction of the amount of work and planning the Duffer Brothers put into this series from the very beginning.

For those that haven’t seen vol.2 yet I warn you to prepare yourself for a lot of tears and emotional damage moments.

No punches are pulled in the second vol.2 and the ending sets up for a chaotic, global war that will happen in Hawkins however it also seems as if we may very well lose our super girl at the end of the journey, which honestly scares me.

At the beginning of episode 8, Vecna shows Nancy some of the things that will happen in Hawkins; which she shares with Dustin’s group in a terrified state, starting with a dark smoke over Hawkins that we see in the season finale.

Some of the events have already happened but many overs are still to come. How will they fight the army Vecna will bring to Hawkins, who will we lose next?

Will Russia fight alongside Hawkins to stop the danger which is right on their doorsteps, or will something else happen?

Can’t wait to see how the Duffer brothers and cast decide to handle this situation in the final season to come.
