Jujutsu Kaisen 0
After waiting for what felt like a year, I finally got the chance to watch the highly rated movie – Jujutsu Kaisen 0, by director Sunghoo Park. As the title of the movie explains, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 begins probably a year or so before the animation was released, so our favorite pink-haired protagonist, Itadori Yuji is nowhere to be found in this film. However, we are instead given a new protagonist in Yuta Okkotsu. A young boy who is cursed with the spirit of Rika Orimoto, who follows him everywhere and if provoked, will gladly annihilate anyone and anything that dares to harm Yuta. But since Yuta Okkotsu…

In this film, we follow the super life of Krypto, Superman’s BFF who shares almost every ability that the Man-of-Steel has aside from the ability to communicate with humans. Luck
Come and explore the magical Land of Luck with Sam Greenfield voiced by Eva Noblezada and Directed by Peggy Holmes. Luck was released on the 5th of August 2022 by distributing company, Apple TV+ and animated by animation studio – Skydance Animations, which did an incredible job on the animation that I will get into later. In Luck, we follow the life of Sam Greenfield, an orphan at the age of 18 who is about to transition into her life as an adult and possibly the luckiest person in the world. During one of her walks late at night, she comes across a cat by the name…

Lightyear
Join Agnus MacLane, the director of Lightyear together with animation studios: Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and Pixar Animations, in this epic original origin story. For those that don’t know, which I doubt, Lightyear is a spin-off film adapted from the Toy Story series that first hit theatres in 1995 and is written by Agnus MacLane, Matthew Aldrich, and Jason Headley. This film has been highly expected as it dives deep into one of the most prominent characters of the franchise, Buzz Lightyear, and the events that made and shaped him into who we know him as today. Now I know some people may be asking themselves how a toy…

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie
After only two seasons on Nickelodeon, directors Ant Ward and Andy Suriano released Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie on Netflix and it is outstanding. The film was released on the 5th of August 2022 by distributor Netflix and was welcomed with open arms by many fans across the globe with many of them asking whether the series would get a third season any time soon. Rise of the TMNT: The Movie is centered particularly on Leonardo voiced by Ben Schwartz, who from past presentations has always been shown as a leader of the team of turtles. However, in this film, we get to see a different…

One Piece Episode 1028 – Surpass the Emperor of the Sea! Luffy Strikes Back with an Iron Fist!
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Echiiro Oda and Toei Animation have done it again with the latest episode of One Piece Episode 1028. One Piece since the beginning of the Wano Arc has been nothing but an absolute visual phenomenon to watch. It all started with the Raid of Onigashima, then Episode 1015 that blew the One Piece community away when Luffy struck Kaido with a massive Red Roc putting the Strongest creature down on his knees. And now, after a thousand chapters; One Piece fans are rewarded with what I can say is possibly one of the greatest episodes in One Piece history. We…

Minions: The Rise of Gru
Director Kyle Balda returns with the second installment of our favorite adorable twinkies Minions: The Rise of Gru. Production companies; Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures released the film on the 1st of July 2022 with an opening weekend that made over $107,000,000 in the US and Canada. As the name of the film suggests, this film aims to fill the audience and die-hard fans of the Minions franchise on how Gru came to be. We start the film in 1976, which even to-date people say the 70s was the best decade to be alive; so we know things are about to get real funky as we first meet Belle Bottom…

The Bob’s Burgers Movie
The Bob’s Burgers Movie directed by Loren Bouchard and Bernard Derriman has me feeling overwhelmed with disappointment and criticism. The movie was released on the 27th of May 2022, distributed by 20th Century Studios, and adapted from Bob’s Burgers the sitcom series created by Loren Bouchard. For a sitcom that’s been running for over eleven seasons, one would expect something different, something creative and long-lasting on the mind however I found very little to go back to. The Bob’s Burgers Movie does little to cater to anyone that’s never seen the sitcom on FOX but strangely enough, continues its never-ending trend of making the Fishoeders the villains. …

Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe
Directors Albert Calleros and John Rice came together with MTV to produce what I’d like to call a thirst-trap film in the name of Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe. The film was released on the 24th of June 2022 and distributed by Paramount+ with the production companies MTV Entertainment Studios and Titmouse. I went into this film completely blind by watching it without any research such as the trailer, cast, or what it was about due to the recognizable characters in Beavis and Butt-Head, and ladies and gentlemen, I did myself a favor. At first, I thought I was giving them a chance due to their popularity…

The Bad Guys
Director Pierre Perifel’s latest animation film, The Bad Guys merge bringing in the new with the old in art style and perspective. The Bad Guys distributed by Universal Pictures was released on the 31st of March 2022 by Universal Pictures. The film is based on the Australian author of children’s books, Aaron Blabey. Straight off the bat, the first element that caught my attention about this film was its old yet crisp art style which had me reminiscing a lot about my childhood. The characters themselves are all animals with their unique traits that I believe someone, somewhere out there in the world, most definitely has some kind of phobia…
