Jurassic World Dominion
Director Colin Trevorrow returns with the third installment of Jurassic World Dominion and we have a lot to say about it. This film was released on the 10th of June 2022 by Universal Pictures with the assistance of production companies Amblin Entertainment, Latina Pictures, and Perfect World Pictures. Right off the bat, the story kicks off 4 years after from where we left off after the destruction of Isla Nublar, with the world in total confusion about how to live their daily lives with the presence of dinosaurs right in their backyards. The world is also still searching for Lockwood’s granddaughter Maisie played by Isabella Sermon who’s…

The Bob’s Burgers Movie
The Bob’s Burgers Movie directed by Loren Bouchard and Bernard Derriman has me feeling overwhelmed with disappointment and criticism. The movie was released on the 27th of May 2022, distributed by 20th Century Studios, and adapted from Bob’s Burgers the sitcom series created by Loren Bouchard. For a sitcom that’s been running for over eleven seasons, one would expect something different, something creative and long-lasting on the mind however I found very little to go back to. The Bob’s Burgers Movie does little to cater to anyone that’s never seen the sitcom on FOX but strangely enough, continues its never-ending trend of making the Fishoeders the villains. …

Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe
Directors Albert Calleros and John Rice came together with MTV to produce what I’d like to call a thirst-trap film in the name of Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe. The film was released on the 24th of June 2022 and distributed by Paramount+ with the production companies MTV Entertainment Studios and Titmouse. I went into this film completely blind by watching it without any research such as the trailer, cast, or what it was about due to the recognizable characters in Beavis and Butt-Head, and ladies and gentlemen, I did myself a favor. At first, I thought I was giving them a chance due to their popularity…

The Bad Guys
Director Pierre Perifel’s latest animation film, The Bad Guys merge bringing in the new with the old in art style and perspective. The Bad Guys distributed by Universal Pictures was released on the 31st of March 2022 by Universal Pictures. The film is based on the Australian author of children’s books, Aaron Blabey. Straight off the bat, the first element that caught my attention about this film was its old yet crisp art style which had me reminiscing a lot about my childhood. The characters themselves are all animals with their unique traits that I believe someone, somewhere out there in the world, most definitely has some kind of phobia…

Watcher
Director Chloe Okuno may have released her best work to date with her latest film, Watcher. The film’s focus is on a couple that’s moved into their new apartment in Romania, however, things aren’t all roses and flowers as Julia notices a stranger from across their apartment constantly staring into their room through the window. I don’t believe I have seen any film so simply made yet captivating and thrilling from start to finish. Chloe Okuno’s amazing attention to detail and script writing is what defines Watcher apart from her other crafts. Her way of building suspense and tension in this movie should be an example to all…

Ip Man: The Awakening
Directors Li Xi Jie and Zhang Zhu Lin join ideas to produce “Ip Man: The Awakening” and the legend still lives on. With Donnie Yen’s departure from the Ip Man franchise at the end of the fourth installment, we are introduced to Tse Miu, with over 20 movies under his name, Tse Miu is determined to continue the legend of Ip Man and bring back the kung fu franchise from its terrible fifth installment which shall not be named. After 8 years away from Hong Kong, Ip Man (Miu Tse) returns to his neighborhood to find that things haven’t become better but worse with the sudden disappearances of young…

Father of the Bride
Let’s talk about “Father of the Bride” by director Gary Alazraki and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. There have been two other versions of this film, the original having been released in 1951 and the second version in 1991. This film follows Billy Herrera played by Andy Garcia, a self-made businessman who came to the United States of America with nothing but the clothes on his back and built himself and his company out of nothing at all to become one of the most sought out architectural companies in Miami. He did all of this in the name of love, family, and keeping his culture alive, however, time…

Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Director Jeff Fowler returns with the second installment of Sonic the Hedgehog from SEGA and Paramount Picture Studio. This time, we learn a lot more about our favorite blue hedgehog and are introduced to two very important figures in the Sonic franchise, “Knuckles the Echidna” voiced by ( Edris Elba) and Miles “Tails” Prower by (Colleen O’Shaughnessey). Colleen O’Shaughnessey by the way is the same voice actor for the original Sonic games, so this made the transition from a gaming adaptation to film so much better to accept. Though I have to admit Jim Carrey is the star of this film, his change from the first film to this one is astonishing,…

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore
Director David Yates returns with the third installment of “The Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and written by J.K. Rowling; what a beautiful film this is. The introduction to the film was truly magical, it felt as if I were enchanted from the very beginning. Amazing CGI which is unbelievably easy on the eyes, and the pacing of the film is flawless, I wanted to see more. I fell in love with this film and in my opinion, I regard the third installment as the best so far. With Johnny Depp no longer playing “Gellert Grindelwald” obviously I had my pupils on who’d be his replacement and as…

Morbius
Director Daniel Espinosa with partners Sony and Marvel have released their latest blockbuster film by the name of “Morbius”. Now I have not seen any trailer for this film nor have any information as to what this film is about however the first thing I noticed is that it has something to do with vampires. “Doctor” Michael Morbius was born with a weak body due to his DNA missing one element in its genes which prevented him from living a normal life like every other child out there but what he lacked in physical strength, he made up with intellect. While in the care of “Doctor Emil Nicholas”…
