    Red Notice

Red Notice is the highest level of an arrest warrant issued by The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), reserved for the most wanted criminals.   In this film, Ryan Reynolds plays the character of the world’s greatest art thief when he targets the treasures that were a wedding gift from the Roman general Mark Antony to his true love the Egyptian queen Cleopatra but unfortunately for him, he is set up by his rival known as Bishop played Gal Gadot who leads Interpol directly to his private residence and is arrested.   I have mentioned before that ever since “Jungle Cruise” Dwayne Johnson has made an impression on me in…

Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings

The making of Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings has been on the Marvel studios’ projects for over 20 years with no avail, not until Director Destin Danial Cretton joined the team and for good reasons, as we can see. Shang Chi addresses a lot of one’s self, ancestry, inheritance, being oneself and so much more all in a time run of 132 minutes. We are a product of all those who were here before us and should never forget that. I have seen some of the best visuals the MCU universe has to offer in this film. At first, the audience is hinted to Shang Chi…

    Apex

Ladies and Gentlemen, I hate saying negative things about someone else’s work, especially since I was not there and I don’t know the amount of work that was put into the work however this is the first film of the year which I will with a heavy heart criticize to the latter. Simply put, I want my time back.   I don’t believe Director Edward Drake put enough effort into this film as it was horrendously crafted, the cast seems alright, with veterans such as Neal McDonough and Bruce Willis, let this not fool, I felt as if I were at a psychiatrist with no one out, I couldn’t wait…

    SnakeHead

Sister Tse (Shuya Chang) is a mother filled with regret with her earlier years of abandoning her daughter (Jai) who is later aborted by a family in New York City as she is arrested and sent to prison for 8 years, as soon as she is released, her first and only thought is to find her daughter, she is assisted by one of New York City’s Chinatown’s underground crime family lead by Dai Mah played by (Jade Wu). If there’s anything I’ve learned from this emotional rollercoaster of a film is that Asians are built resilient and go through much more than I’ve ever imagined, I mean leaving your place…

    Army of Thieves

Matthias Schweighofer has done an amazing job with this prequel, I found myself wanting to see more with each safe. The story of Hans Wagner after losing his family putting all his attention and soul into the makings of the four safes was beautifully illustrated and directed.   Ludwig Dieter was such an isolated person and you could strangely always see that even from the first film, Army of The Dead, but to think he just wanted someone to recognize his skills, and he sure made the impression at the safe’s competition. Whilst the former champion is anxious and using every technique in the book on unlocking a safe, Dieter on the…

    Old Henry

Straight out the bat, you know know what you are about to get yourself into with Old Henry, a western film building its anticipation with a man running in the woods from a couple of men on horses, only to later realize he is running away from the Marshal played by Stephen Dorff and two his deputies. And there’s one thing that’s plain to see, it’s that this Marshal is either corrupted or pretending to that for reasons we still don’t know yet. From the moment Stephen Dorff appears on-screen anyone with a brain can tell that this man is bad news all around, there’s no respectful charisma you’d get…

    Warning

Lately, I’ve heard a lot about the world or for a better word “life” being a simulation and this film addresses another aspect of that in a way. The title of the film says it all, if you haven’t seen it yet then I recommend taking the title to heart, I found myself questioning my humanity throughout this film. What makes us human, it’s funny how all the things we create are programmed to be respectful and kind yet that element in humans is blurred. Claire (Alice Eve) uses a look-alike version of Amazon’s products Alexa as her spiritual coach, without it Claire felt uneasy and restless as “God” is…

    Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise is such an unexpected fun-filled adventure film, filled with some of the best acting I’ve seen from Dwayne Johnson ever and I can admit to loving the person a little more from his spectacular adaptation of Captain Frank Wolff. I had never heard of Jungle Cruise before this movie but what’s certain is that within the first ten minutes of the film I already knew Captain Frank Wolff was a con artist when it comes to making money yet, he put a lot of work into making his boat the number choice for tourist, I mean the lengths this man has gone is close to insane. He built…

    Kate (2021)

If you are looking for a female main character who knows her way around a close combat fight or shooting skills to match pro gamers during their live streams on call of duty or apex legends, then this is the film for you, listen up people, I’m about to go HAM on this review. I loved it, I genuinely loved and enjoyed this film from start to finish. There were twists and turns at the start and there were twists and turns at the end. What I can reveal about being an assassin is that no matter who you are, no matter the importance or consequences, everyone can be replaced…

    V/H/S/ 94 (2021)

VHS94 is the fourth installment in the hit horror anthology franchise from A Shudder Original film, however, it’s only been my first and for a person who’s not into horror all that much, I came to enjoy it. VHS94 has a different feel to it for a horror movie, maybe it’s the style of recording, different scenarios segments, whatever it is, I found myself wanting to see more.   The reason why I rarely watch horror movies is that you get the same movie build-up in almost all of them, for example, the cast is always in a dark room walking past an open door that magically closes itself with…
